Summary: Just a bad experience. Would not stay here again. Too far away from where you want to be! Checked in at 11 am and at 7:30 pm they finally changed my room bc the ac didn’t work. Multiple calls to get this resolved. Had a view of the pool but moved me to a suite with a small pool and no view. Was a downgrade as far as I was concerned. The excursion I booked through the hotel a month ago was cancelled and I first found out at 5:00 am the morning I was to go on it. They booked me on another excursion instead that day. It was ok but not what I signed up for.

Summary: The hotel lobby is nice and the stores are beautifully decorated. The room was nice and clean but had wacky design and bulky grandma arm chairs which took away the beauty of the room. The staff at the adult pool were nice and friendly. Their Black Ginger restaurant is overrated and overpriced, especially for Thai dishes. Breakfast had many food options but the quality was okay. Overall, the resort is beautiful but has no private beach.

Summary: This was our sixth stay at The Slate, and once again we loved the hotel and its friendly staff. A few minor points: dinner at Tin Mine was disappointing and not up to its usual standard, the gym is slightly worn and could use updates like new treadmills, and the “adults-only” pool had limited seating, with many loungers reserved by absent guests. A simple system where loungers are assigned at check-in could improve this. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely return.

Summary: We have traveled many countries and stayed in many excellent hotels but THE SLATE exceeds them all! We have had a great time, everything at the hotel was perfect. Great and friendly personnel, awesome food at the breakfast buffet, beautiful and extravagant rooms with huge beds and huge bathroom... :)

Summary: The Slate is like a village with great greenary, smiling staff and several choices of bars and restaurants. The lobby area and breakfast rooms are really nice and contemporary designed. The balconies really pretty; the textiles and pillows. The interior design of the rooms is not my personal style at all, but it's clean, tidy and the rooms are big and everything worked well. A super-plus to staff and the food an experience of restaurant Black Ginger. Wow!!

Summary: We’ve stayed here before and we’ll stay here again. Faultless in every respect. The suites were top quality, the restaurants were sensational, the staff helpful and friendly (typical of Thailand) and the external and pool areas were impeccably maintained. The high spot was a visit to the Black Ginger restaurant - memorable in every respect.
